THE LUTHERAN HOUR

"Don't Worry, Be Happy"

Martin Luther wrote, "God is not a God of sadness-but the devil is. Christ is a God of joy, and so the Scriptures often say that we should rejoice." Hear this message next week, hosted by Rev. Dr. Ken Klaus, based on Luke 21:9, next Sunday on radio station WDFN (1130 AM) at 6:30 a.m. and station WAAM (1600 AM) at 9 a.m. or listen to it on the Web at our Lutheran Hour page

CARE AND SHARE NEWS

The Care and Share group will meet Tuesday, November 23rd at 11:00am. We will plan the food collection and support a family projects for the holidays. Bring your orange 2010 directory for any changes or questions.

IMPORTANT VOTERS MEETING

Angelica’s Annual Congregation Meeting will be held following the 11 a.m. service TODAY Sunday, November 7, 2010. At that meeting we will elect Officers and Church Council members, and will adopt the annual budget for the year 2011. The meeting will also receive reports from our boards, groups and clubs and we will get an update on the furnace. Other items, suggested by those in attendance, will also be considered.

All congregation members are sincerely invited and are encouraged to attend. There are no eligibility requirements for attendance, and the meetings usually are not long. Because the normal Sunday dinner time is interrupted, refreshment will be provided to tide you over.

Please join us at the meeting. The importance of the business to be dealt with can’t be overemphasized..

LENNON PREGNANCY CENTER BOTTLE DRIVE

The Lennon Pregnancy Center is a non-profit organization that meets the diverse needs of women who face unplanned pregnancies. We are an independent agency but we are a part of a coalition of 24 other pregnancy counseling centers located throughout Southeastern Michigan. We help our clients with their children from birth to age 5 with clothing needs, as well as a variety of parenting classes.

NEXT WEEK we will be passing out empty baby bottles after service. If every family would please take one and collect change next week we would greatly appreciate it. We are currently raising funds for our ultrasound program, because statistics show that our 90% of women who see their baby’s image on an ultrasound will choose not to abort. Therefore, your loose change can make a BIG change in our clients’ lives.

If you have any questions please contact Katherine Lennon at 313-277-5637 or .kqlpc@ameritech.net.
