2010 Furnace Renovation

The furnace/boiler combinations that have heated our church for many years have finally needed to be updated. Unfortunately, due to the age and inefficiency of the current equipment, and total replacement of all systems had to be done. This has been a large project, that will take several months to complete. The massive size of the current equipment has made the work challenging, and the new equipment being installed is completely different, so many modifications are required as part of the process.

Our congregation is supporting the project quite well. In the four months since you were first asked to make prayerfully considered regular contributions, almost $25,000 has been received.  The total does include several large one-time contributions. We still have a long way to go, but this has been a very good start.

Update 12/01/10:

All equipment has been connected and is in place. The new hot water tank was put in place on Monday, November 22. The heat should be operational in a couple of weeks, after they wire all the dampers and the thermostats that we need.
