Richard Kretzschmar, John Fritz and Dr. Walter Maier, who originated the famed Lutheran Hour broadcast, founded the AM station in 1924. Three years later, they moved the station to its permanent home on the Concordia Seminary campus in St. Louis. KFUO added an FM channel in 1948.
Today, KFUO Radio’s nationally-recognized and award-winning programs broadcast the truth of God’s Word on more than 500 stations throughout the United States.
