Monroe

This was the original Lutheran Home founded in 1893. There are 102 skilled nursing beds all in private rooms dually certified for Medicare and Medicaid. Livonia

This Home opened in October 1998. There are 88 skilled nursing beds dually certified for Medicare and Medicaid. There is also a 20 bed Dementia Unit licensed as a Home for the Aged. This is a secure special care unit specifically designed for the needs of those with the early stages of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Frankenmuth

The Frankenmuth Home was built in 1969. There are 112 skilled nursing beds dually certified for Medicare and Medicaid. Lutheran Homes of Michigan was formed in 1893 and is a non-profit, Christian agency that provides 24 hour medicare certified skilled nursing, assisted living, and senior housing as well as certified home care, hospice and private duty services to hundreds of seniors of all faiths in Michigan. They are now the 5th Largest in Michigan for Non-Profits with Residential Senior Services.

They currently provide skilled nursing and assisted living in their three homes located in Monroe, Frankenmuth and Livonia.
At The Manors in Saginaw they offer independent living at McBrite Manor, assisted living at Shattuck Manor and special assistance to those with memory loss at Meadow View Manor.
They also provide certified home care services, private duty nursing and hospice care through the Lutheran Home Care Agency which serves the 5 county Saginaw Valley area.
Through collaborative efforts with others they also provide housing to low income seniors at Our Saviour's Manor in Westland and private duty nursing to residents of southeast Michigan at Savior's Grace Home Care.
Three of their newest senior housing developments are Creekside Village in Monroe, Gibraltar Manor in Gibraltar and Alpena Village in Alpena.

Residential Homes Offer Unique Care Philosophy

Their three residential homes serve more than 300 seniors of all faiths, most of whom need some assistance with daily living or full, skilled care.

Regardless of the physical or medical condition of their residents, each receives their utmost respect and consideration every day.

Staff, volunteers and chaplains work together to support the spiritual needs of residents through daily devotions, group Bible study, hymn sings, weekly chapel services and special programs.

Physicians, nurses, therapists and aids attend to the residents’ needs and help them achieve their highest level of functioning.

Activity professionals and countless volunteers, family members and friends interact in fun, meaningful ways to provide a stimulating environment for growth, no matter what the age.

The design and furnishings of their facilities reflect a commitment to supporting the dignity and privacy of their residents. The chapel is the focal point of each facility and daily reminder that we are doing God’s work. Tastefully decorated living areas, beautiful gardens and countryards, private dining rooms and intimate parlors are just a few of the other features that make their facilities more like home.

Assisted Living

The Lutheran Homes in Monroe and Frankenmuth also offer assisted living for residents who require less supervision than individuals in a traditional nursing home setting. Their assisted living residents receive help with bathing, dressing and grooming, while enjoying a more active lifestyle and full access to the programs and services available to other residents.

Special Care Unit

The Livonia Home offers affordable care to those in the early and middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Residents in this unit live in an environment that promotes their spiritual and physical well-being, with special emphasis on their unique needs. Staff members are specially trained to work with the residents in the unit, and take great care to make sure every person is treated with the respect, dignity and kindness they deserve.

Reaching Beyond Their Borders

Lutheran Homes of Michigan extends its Christ-centered care beyond the confines of their residential homes to include in-home care through the Lutheran HOME CARE Agency.

HOME CARE offers private duty nurses, therapists, aids and social workers who help individuals recover from injury, illness or surgery in the comfort of their own homes.

Individuals who are living with a terminal diagnosis also may receive care through their Hospice of Hope program. Hospice of Hope offers professional care givers, volunteers and pastors to help the family and patient manage their illness and maintain quality of life during the remaining time they have together.

Services through the Lutheran HOME CARE Agency are provided to residents of Saginaw, Bay, Tuscola, Sanilac, Genesse and Lapeer counties.

Our Savior’s Manor

Our Saviour's Manor in Westland, Michigan

This newly constructed two story, 50 unit residential apartment building in Westland is located at the corner of Annapolis & Middlebelt. Applicants must be at least 62 years of age and have an annual income not exceeding $24,450 for an individual and $27,950 for a couple. Gibraltar Manor

Completed in 2006, The Village of Gibraltar Manor is located on the north side of Middle Gibraltar Road, across from Parsons Elementary School. All under one roof, The Village of Gibraltar Manor has 53 fully-modern one and two bedroom apartments with resident storage areas, centrally located laundry rooms, fitness room, community/craft room, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and maintenance services.
