The Women of Angelica are very excited about this year’s Advent by Candlelight. There are some fantastic activities planned including the sharing of the story of Advent, in the church, singing Christmas carols as played on the organ and piano by virtuoso David Hufford and, of course, sharing those many, fantastic desserts. Festivities for this occasion begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, in the lounge.

Everyone is welcome to attend – men, women, and children AND all of your friends, neighbors and relatives. To insure a wide attendance, we ask you to consider hosting a table. In any case, whether you are considering attending, or even hosting a table, your participation is very welcome. To help us gage the size of attendance, please sign-up at the back of the church to indicate that you are participating and whether or not you can host a table.

The Women have selected Lutheran Social Services of Michigan as the charity to receive donations, including food stuffs, from the Advent by Candlelight. Although Lutheran Social Services assists people of all ages, the Women of Angelica have decided to concentrate their efforts on helping children and families. A suggested list of items that attendees could donate can be found on the reverse of the invitations.

If you have any questions, please contact Karen Jaffke or any member of the Altar Guild or Women’s Guild.
