The Altar Guild wishes to thank everyone that participated in the craft show. We are grateful for those that volunteered their time to help set up and clean up, those that helped with the lunch, the bake sale, the prizes and wherever else help was given. We are especially appreciative of those that donated prizes and baked for the bake sale. Total receipts for the event was approximately $1550. The Guild has not yet decided where the receipts will be used, but potential uses are being considered.

Remember how beautiful the church looked last Christmas with all the Poinsettias? The Altar Guild is again selling Poinsettias to be sure the church looks just as beautiful as ever. Besides making our church look extra special the Poinsettias give us the opportunity to honor or remember our loved ones. Order forms will be included elsewhere in this newsletter. The price for each plant is $10.00. Last day to order Poinsettias will be Sunday, November 24.

The Altar Guild and Women’s Guild are partnering this year on the Advent by Candlelight, which will be held on Sunday November 24th. To be sure the church looks its best for the event the Altar Guild will decorate the church sometime before that date. If you would like to help decorate, please contact Karen Jaffke.

The Altar Guild will sponsor their famous cookie walk on Saturday, December 7. To make it as successful as it has been in the past, we need everyone’s help. It’s a great time to display your baking prowess by making your very special Christmas cookies. All helpers are appreciated. If you are able to bake for the cookie walk, please take a container from the narthex that you can use to bring in the cookies. More information about the cookie walk will be in the next newsletter.

The Altar Guild’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. As you can see, the Altar Guild has a busy month planned so they are in need of more helpers. Come to the meeting and see how you can help, or just come and enjoy the fellowship. All women are welcome to attend.
